Princess Mia

Princess isn't the kind of cat who will march straight into a room and demand attention. She's the kind of cat who quietly watches from a safe place, wondering whether this new person, this new home, this new chapter might finally be the one where she can relax.

Life has been a little confusing for Princess.

Two years ago, she was given a second chance when she was adopted from our shelter. She finally had a home, a family, and a place to belong. Sadly, due to a house move and changes within the household, Princess found herself struggling once again. Sharing her space with other cats became overwhelming, and despite her family's efforts, she wasn't coping. Through no fault of her own, Princess has found herself back in our care looking for another fresh start.

Princess is a senior girl with a sensitive soul. New people make her nervous, and big changes can take her a long time to process. When life feels busy or unpredictable, her first instinct is often to retreat and hide away. But for those lucky enough to earn her trust, an entirely different cat emerges.

When Princess feels safe, she is absolutely devoted.

She'll approach for affection, gently head-butt your hand, lean into pats, and quietly seek out your company. The love she gives isn't loud or demanding. It's the kind of love that feels like a privilege. The kind you've earned.

Princess has taught us that bravery doesn't always look dramatic. Sometimes bravery is simply coming out of hiding to sit beside someone you trust.

Because she finds other cats very stressful, Princess is looking for a home where she can be the only cat. She would also thrive in a calm adult household with patient adopters who understand that settling in may take time. She may spend her first days or even weeks tucked away in a safe room, learning that she doesn't need to be scared anymore.

And that's okay.

The best homes aren't built on expectations. They're built on patience.

Princess isn't looking for excitement. She isn't looking for a busy household filled with visitors and constant activity. She's looking for peace. A sunny windowsill. A quiet voice. A soft bed. Someone who understands that love doesn't always happen instantly.

Senior cats like Princess are so often overlooked. People walk past them searching for younger, bolder cats while gentle souls like her wait and hope. But those who adopt senior cats know a special secret: they are often the most grateful companions of all.

Princess has already lost one home. We'd love for her next home to be her last.
