About Cherry
Cherry is a beautiful pink-eyed white guinea pig who is approximately one year old. Her story begins with a heartbreaking discovery – she was found abandoned in a box at the park alongside her two 5-week-old babies. Despite her rough start, Cherry is a sweet and timid girl who is slowly learning that humans can be kind and gentle. She’s coming out of her shell one blueberry at a time!
Cherry would thrive in a home with another desexed male or a female guinea pig companion. This will help her gain confidence faster. All our guinea pigs are indoor-only pets, so Cherry will need an appropriately sized setup inside your home. Gentle introductions to any existing guinea pigs are crucial. Cherry is not desexed, so any male companions must be neutered.
Spinach is Cherry’s absolute favorite treat! Offer her a leaf, and you’ll see her eyes light up. She loves her hidey holes where she feels safe and secure. While she’s still getting used to human touch, she will begrudgingly allow a little cuddle. With patience and love, she’ll trust you more each day.
Cherry is still adapting to the sounds of people, so a loving home that will let her build trust at her own pace is essential. If you’re ready to provide a safe, nurturing environment for Cherry, she’ll reward you with her gentle and loving nature. Cherry is currently in Preston with her foster family, waiting for the perfect forever home.
