About Callie
Meet Callie, a delightful four-legged friend who is full of life, joy, and boundless energy. Her cheeky persona and playful nature make her a wonderful addition to any lively household. Known for her sense of humor and a charming knack for snapping and licking playfully, Callie's personality is as infectious as her love for her humans.
She’s excellent with other dogs and cats, and loves making friends. In fact, she's known to take the commanding role due to her fearless and engaging demeanor. Callie is a quick learner who loves a reward for her efforts, especially tasty treats. Although she's not quite a master of commands yet, she's made impressive strides in learning to sit consistently and acclimating to using a doggy door.
Callie is a companion with whom anyone would fall in love. She's the perfect snuggle partner, always seeking that comforting togetherness. While she's not a barker, she's not afraid to spring into guard dog mode the moment she hears unusual noises – an attribute that would reassure those seeking a safety-conscious canine.
She displays curiosity and excitement over the beach, hinting at the possibility of a water-loving pup in the making. Her response to food is swift and robust - just the crinkle of a dog food bag is enough to perk up her ears. However, she has a mischievous side too; she'll make a beeline for an open gate and has a bit of a rebellious streak during lead walks!
Callie's ideal family would be those who can spend quality time with her, rewarding her with the cuddles and closeness she adores. She'd thrive being an inside/outside dog in a secure environment, and would suit a home where there's lots of activity and companionship.
A daily stroll and some mental stimulation are all part of her perfect day. She enjoys exploring and doesn't mind trying to outwit fences if she spies an interesting 'out point'. Her remarkable nature, topped with a need for a dab hand in basic training skills, makes her a perfect fit for a patient, committed, and active family.
In a nutshell, Callie dreams of a forever family where she can walk daily, be stimulated mentally, lavished with love and be the adorable, affectionate canine companion everyone adores.
Callie is currently being fostered in the Ocean Shores area!
Medical notes
Callie has received a Cytopoint Allergy Injection to assist with treatment of sparse hair loss over various parts of her body. This may be due to any number of reasons, being potentially a food or envionmental allergen or sensitivity, post weaning babies hair loss. We would love to see how Callie responds to a good nutritous diet, along with TLC and the allergy medication to see if this gets her some beautiful fur growing back in.
Callies breed may prove to make her genetically a little more liekly to experience skin conditions such as allergens and dermatitis issues.
As always our team is more than happy to assist with further information for interested families!
