Amazingly healthy and happy and grumpy and cheeky and funny. Walks like a dream
Meet Betty, a cheeky and lovable Jack Russell Terrier with a sprightly personality that belies her 13 years. With a compact build of just 5kg, Betty is the perfect size to keep you company on your couch or to fit comfortably within a close-knit household.
Betty has been very well cared for. She is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, and wormed. She's ready to join her new family in her twilight years. With her wealth of experience, she's your go-to girl for top-quality snuggles and joyful companionship.
Betty tends to be a bit grumpy, particularly around other dogs, but don't let that deter you. Like a lot of us, she just needs her space sometimes. Betty prefers older children who respect her boundaries and understand her personal space. She is an inside dog who might just surprise you with her dreamy walks and funny antics around the home.
One of Betty's remarkable features is her good health. Despite her age, she's amazingly healthy, happy, and filled with robust energy. She enjoys her walks and will definitely keep you on your toes with her youthful spirit. It's worth noting that her experience with cats is untested, so a household without felines might be best.
If you're looking for a loyal canine companion to fill your home with joy and laughter, consider meeting our adorable Betty. She's currently situated in Red Hill, and her adoption fee is $495. Let's give this charming, grumpy, and uniquely wonderful little dog the loving home she deserves!

Here are some quick tips to make your APPLICATION stand out:
Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Here’s some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
🐱 Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the pet’s bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
🐾 Details about your family
🏡 Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
Be open and honest - rescues prefer having as much information as they can about potential adopters.
An adoption fee applies to each animal to cover only the basic veterinary procedures, and each adoption goes out on a 21 day settling in period, if the dog is returned in this period, and you’ve spoken to our trainer for assistance, and the dog is returned in good health, mentally and physically, and all their belongings and paperwork are returned, then we provide a refund less $50 admin fee. This is not a trial, but in case of any unknown or unforeseen circumstances.
The adoption process is as follows
✅Everyone that lives in the home will meet the dog with the carer
✅We ask everyone go home again and discuss and think about overnight and contact us the next day
✅This also gives the carer a chance to think about suitability
✅Then if everyone agrees we then require a home inspection, or at least photos of the home yard and fences.
✅Then the adoption fee is paid and once that clears our account you are free to arrange with the carer to collect
✅The adoption paperwork comes out in 14 days in which time you are required to register and change chip over
