About Honey
At home Honey loves to snooze close to you, often roaching with pure delight of how good her life is now in your loving and comfy home. She has begun to roach ( sleeping upside down with all limbs stretched out in a display of joy) Honey will regularly demand pats and cuddles, especially when she hears you stir in the morning, wanting to be the first to say good morning and start another day with you.
Honey loves to get out and about on her walks but can be a little stubborn wanting to follow her own paths to visit her favourite spots. She does walk well on lead but can be startled by some sudden noises such skateboarders rushing by. Again, she is getting used to the bust inner city streets. When Honey has come to our Farmers markets she can be a bit wary of moving through crowds but very pleased to reach our market stall where she can hang out with her greyhound family.
Honey with her stunning looks and gentle manner draws lots of admirers on her walks. She learning to enjoy all this attention and makes new friends on every walk.
Honey has started to play with toys but is often just as happy to chase after a stick. Though, she hasn’t learnt to bring it back yet. Honey also delights in new experiences such as a taste of ham or sharing that special croissant with you on a Sunday morning.
Honey manages her toileting well with visits outside and can manage a few hours at home between pee breaks. She doesn’t love being home alone but can be left for a few hours. It helps if she is left with some enrichment such as a pig’s ear or a Kong to play with. Honey will generally nap while her human is out of the house.
Honey gets along with other dogs quite well. She is polite on her walks but will shy away from barking or boisterous dogs. When she visits friend with a back yard she does enjoy play with other dogs.
Honey is a very gentle and easy girl who would quickly become a cherished family member in any home. She would be happy as an only do or with a suitable canine companion. She may not appreciate lots of noisy young kids and would do best if her humans are around more often than not.

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, some can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour.
As a result we look to rehome dogs into households where they are not left on their own for more than 4 hours per day on a regular basis, without either people or another dog for company. We are happy discuss strategies such as a dog walker or doggy day care. Going to work with you is also a great option
