About Countess
Dear Diary,
Today, like every day, I found a warm sun puddle to curl up in, letting the golden rays wash over my cream and white fur. There’s something magical about the warmth of the sun, especially when combined with the gentle caress of my foster mum’s hand. She gives the best head scratches, and I purr softly in appreciation, knowing I am loved and cared for here.
It’s been 268 days since I came into this loving home with my sister Princess. I arrived heavily pregnant, and my foster mum instantly fell in love with me. She often says I have an air of wisdom about me, as if I’ve lived many lives and have stories to tell. While I am quieter and more reserved cat, she quickly noticed that I am also the smarter one, navigating life with a calm and collected grace.
Despite being partially blind, I don’t let my limited vision hold me back. My eyes may see only shadows, but my mind maps everything with precision. I move gracefully around the house, avoiding obstacles like a pro. My foster mum always says I’m smarter than a Roomba vacuum, and I think she’s right! I've memorized every nook and cranny of my temporary home, and you'd never guess I live in a world of shadows.
There’s a special joy in receiving a delicious treat from a loving hand. It’s not just the taste, but the affection that comes with it. Each treat is a reminder that I am cherished. Treats and head scratches are the highlights of my days, filled with warmth and love.
But sometimes, when I’m resting in my favorite sunny spot, I dream of my forever family. I wonder what they’ll be like and hope they’ll appreciate my gentle nature and the quiet wisdom I bring. I long for a peaceful home where I can spend my days basking in sunny spots, receiving tender head scratches, and sharing quiet moments of love and companionship. I imagine a family who sees beyond my partial blindness and loves me for my resilient spirit and kind heart.
I dream of a place where I belong, a forever home that I can call my own. I know my perfect family is out there, looking for a cat just like me. Someone who understands that true beauty lies within, and that a heart filled with love is the most precious gift of all.
Until then, I wait patiently, counting the days and holding onto hope. My foster mum tells me my perfect match is out there, and I believe her with all my heart.
With hopeful purrs,
Countess
All Little Paws Kitten Rescue cats and kittens come to you vet checked, desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, flea treated, and litter trained. As we are a rescue group, the adoption fee is not negotiable. Little Paws Kitten Rescue cats and kittens are indoor or cat enclosure only and must go to homes that intend them to stay that way. This is for their safety, the health of the cat or kitten and for the environment. It is our foster carer’s choice as to which home a cat or kitten goes to. We match the cats and kittens to the adoptee; we do not necessarily “sell” to the first caller. As our foster carers are all volunteers raising the cats and kittens in their own home, we would appreciate you letting them know if you cannot make an appointment.
