About Solomon
Its time for our precious boy “Solomon” to find his happy ending.
This boy spent far too long forgotten in a rural pound.
Week after week he watched all the other dogs leave for rescue – whilst he was always left behind.
He slipped further and further into depression and is only alive today because the wonderful ranger and staff refused to give up on him because he knew what a great dog he was.
By pure chance, we found him there and of course, we planned a whole rescue mission around him.
21 dogs came to us on that run – he was first on the transport and first off.
I don’t think we will ever forget the pure relief on his face when he got that first hug in our village.
Now it's time for the village to come together again and find him the people who will hug him for the rest of his days – and my word they will need to be special.
Solomon / Sol is sweet, gentle, funny and friendly – he literally makes your heart smile.
He is about a year old and a kelpie mix ( he is chipped as a kelpie x rotti but he is really not a heavy-built dog)
He has all the makings of a loyal and devoted companion.
Still lacking a little confidence, he can fret a little when left alone but with time he will come good.
He appears to have had little life experience and does cower a little when startled but he is such a pleaser he will come when called even if the situation worries him.
Sol is a dream to train and would benefit from someone keen to have a dog to take out and about with them – that’s a win / win for Sol – He gets to see the wonderful world and do it with his person.
Great in the car and on the lead, he is a social boy and is in care with dogs and horses.
He ignores the local Roos and is as gentle as a lamb with the teeny tiny pup who comes for daycare so we wouldn’t expect cats to phase him.
Sol is desexed, vaccinated, heartworm tested, microchipped and up to date with his flea and worm treatments.
He is in foster care at Cooroibah on the Sunshine Coast and his adoption fee is $595
If you think you and Sol are a perfect match, please send us a detailed message telling us all about yourself and the wonderful life he could share with you.
