About Rolo
Say hello to Rolo!
Think you ready to adopt a dog? Would you considered adopting this hippo instead? Rolo can be described as the perfect companion by everyone that meets him. He has charm, manners, great lead etiquette and a loyal nature.
Like a hiopo, Rolo prefers to lounge around for majority of the day enjoying his comfy blankets and warmth they provide. His favourite place is sleeping on the couch with his foster mum watching tv and could be suited to a house or apartment.
He likes playing fetch, going for walks, being with his humans and rolling on his back for belly rubs. He’s a gentle giant and just so so lovable!
Rolo lived most of his life with a German shepherd, and they were best buddies! We believe Rolo has the potential to be friends with other dogs, but he seems conflicted if wanting to be around other dogs (not housed). We would recommend to invest in training and appropriate socialisation. Rolo has not been tested with cats.
If this hippo ticks some of your boxes or if you have questions about him - enquire !!

Adoption details
When someone contacts us to apply for an animal we will send an application form to be completed. When we receive a completed application form we will share this with the foster carer to approve the applicant.
We will then organise a meet & greet with the applicant and the foster carer to meet the animal, learn about their routine, behaviours and what they eat, drink, etc.
After the meet & greet the applicant is contacted to see if they want to proceed with the application and the foster carer approves the applicant.
We will then complete paperwork, payment, and organise a time to have the animal picked up.
Animals are then adopted on a 2 week trial, during which we stay in touch and provide support for the new adopter.
Once adopted we will send through vet records & paperwork and transfer their microchip.
We offer communication and support throughout the fostering & adoption process.
