About Gabby
Gabby is a 2-year and 1-month-old female Golden Retriever mix with a heartwarming story of resilience. Gabby and her sibling came into the shelter in a dire state: horribly underweight, malnourished, and on life support at the vet. Thankfully, both of them survived and have started to recover, gradually putting on weight and regaining their strength.
Despite her rough start, Gabby is an incredibly sweet and affectionate dog who loves the company of people. She can be timid at first and takes a bit of time to warm up to new people, but once she does, she’s a loving and loyal companion. Gabby has been tested with other dogs and has done very well, making her suitable to live with another dog.
Gabby needs a patient owner who will give her the time and space to feel comfortable and safe. Ongoing weight management will be crucial as she continues to build up her weight in a healthy way. If you're ready to provide Gabby with a loving home and the patience she needs, she'll reward you with endless affection and companionship.
Gabby is still too underweight to be de-sexed. She can currently only go into "foster to adopt". To someone within the City of Ballarat.
