About Fat Cat
Hey there, I'm Fat Cat! I'm a stunning, big boy, and I'm just 3 years old. As a Domestic Long Hair (DLH) kitty, I've got some seriously beautiful and fluffy fur that you'll love to pet. My humans often tell me I'm a sight to behold!
One of my favorite things to do is cuddle. I'm a huge fan of snuggling up on the couch with my human friends. Whether you're watching TV, reading a book, or just relaxing, I'll be right there next to you, purring contentedly. I'm a gentle soul who loves to share warmth and affection.
I get along great with other cats. In fact, I enjoy having feline friends to play and lounge around with. My friendly and easygoing nature makes me the perfect addition to any multi-cat household.
I'm also very fond of kids, especially those who are 6 years and older. I appreciate a bit of calm and gentle handling, and older kids understand that. They'll love having me around as much as I'll enjoy their company.
Now, let's talk about my favorite hobbies. Sleeping and eating are at the top of my list! There's nothing like a cozy nap in a sunny spot or a delicious meal to make my day perfect. I'm a laid-back kitty who knows how to appreciate the simple pleasures in life.
If you're looking for a loving, gentle companion who's always up for a cuddle and gets along well with other cats and kids, then I'm your perfect match. I can't wait to find a forever home where I can share all my love and affection. Come meet me, and you'll see why everyone calls me Fat Cat, the big, beautiful boy with a heart full of love!
To book a meet and greet with Fat Cat please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
