About Dinghy - Located in Melbourne
Greetings, kind soul. I am Dinghy, a delicate creature with a heart both tender and true. In the beginning, you may find me reserved, a whisper of shyness shading my demeanor. Yet, know this: within my chest beats the heart of a steadfast and sweet companion, ever ready to bestow affection once the gentle cloak of safety is drawn about me.
My days are often spent in the company of my beloved brother, Ferry. Together, we embark on adventures through the realms of our home, each chase, each leap, and each playful wrestling match a testament to our unbreakable bond. Like a shadow, I follow him, my spirit buoyed by his fearless lead, and in his presence, I find the courage to explore the world.
Yet, in moments of repose, I seek the comfort of a warm lap or the cozy embrace of a snug corner. There, with my brother by my side, we find solace and contentment, our purring a harmonious duet, a symphony of companionship.
I dream of a home graced with a lofty perch, a vantage point from which I can observe the grand tapestry of the world beyond. In such a haven, a friend to share in my playful escapades would be most welcome, a kindred spirit to dance with in the gentle rhythm of our days.
So, if you desire a companion with a spirit both spunky and serene, one who will bring a quiet joy and a steadfast love to your life, look no further. I am Dinghy, ready to weave my gentle presence into the fabric of your home, to share in the adventure of life, and to find solace in the sweet embrace of companionship.

WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
