About George - 8 Year Old Kelpie (Trial)
Good Boy George (George) is a senior Kelpie. His exact age is unknown but appears to be a gentleman aged around 8-10 yrs.
George’s temperament is calm, affectionate and trusting. He enjoys the company of other calm, older dogs and people. His new home will not have cats as he is not a fan.
He’s a sweet old man, looking for comfort and companionship and to live out his remaining years alongside his new family. Georgie loves his people and loves to be close to you, especially cuddling on the couch or in your bed.
Once George has settled into his new environment, George’s temperament is active, energetic and friendly. He has bursts of energy where he needs to zoom, play with you or another dog. He needs a home where he is having his mental and physical needs met. Despite his age he is still active and needs a walk daily plus sufficient time and attention/affection from his humans.
George is toilet trained and travels well in the car. He enjoys getting out for a short daily walk and will accompany you on your trip to the cafe or pub. He will be your shadow, wanting to be in involved in whatever you’re doing. You will soon learn that George's favourite way to greet you when you get home from work is with excited 'tippy taps' of his feet and licking your legs.
George has a few health requirements. He is blind in one eye. Despite his vision impairment, George is active and manages well around the house.
George could go to a home as an only dog or with another calm, older dog for company. He is suited to part time workers but may get lonely with full time workers especially if there isn’t another dog on the home for company.
George’s adoption fee is $400 and he is in care in the Lake Macquarie area. The adoption fee covers desexing, microchipping, vaccinations and flea/worming treatments.
