Lucey

Lucey is a super sweet little lady who just adores people, and people tend to adore her right back!
She's a little pocket rocket with plenty of energy who just wants to be your best friend.
Our gorgeous little girl is a smaller Kelpie x ( guessing terrier ) weighing 11 kilos so a a very small med size

This girl has the sweetest, softest eyes that beam up at you looking for love and a cuddle, she just has a way of making you feel joy in her company. Lucces’ is a total character, from her little cowlick on the back of her head to the way she stretches out her little paws. Anyone would be lucky to have her in their home, she's just a well rounded and happy little doggo!

Lucey LOVES toys of all kinds, but she especially loves rubber chew toys she can squish, chew and carry around, she likes to chase the ball (and even gives it back most of the time lol) She gets excited for her daily walk and loves a treat of course.
Lucey loves to cuddle and be in the presence of people, she will happily fall asleep in your arms.

She has no hesitations when meeting new people, she can be quite excitable and has a habit of jumping up to say hello and try and get a pat.
Not assessed with kids but we feel will be perfectly fine with dog savvy kind children

Lucey came in with very little obedience and has since learnt to sit and is working on going to her bed, she has learned not to jump up on the couch unless invited and seems to respond well to training. She will need further work learning not to jump up for pats.
She is quite relaxed on the lead on a solo walk, when walking with another dog she tends to pull back and bite at the lead to try and get free to get ahead however is improving, she is distracted by wildlife and other dogs.
She walks best on a harness, and travels well in the car.

Lucey interacts well with other dogs, she can be dominant but is not overbearing and plays really well with her foster brother (3yo kelpie) and likes to chase him round the yard.
She's happy to share toys and food and is not protective.
Lucey does not bark often at all.
She will chase birds in the yard.
Not assessed with cats

Lucye is very independent, she will happily entertain herself with a toy and run around trying to catch things with her little paws, she will pick things up and see what she can play with (particularly shoes) but is easily redirected to a toy.
Lucey has done a small amount of digging when left alone but nothing excessing, she enjoys a peanut butter lick and scattered treats to help keep her entertained, but is otherwise lounging in the sun or chasing toys awaiting her people to return.

IDEAL HOME/ Adoption Criteria

Good size yard with shade . shelter and secure fencing
A home that have the time to make her a part of the family and continue with her training
A home with another dog would be great but we would be only seeking a home with a Male dog as we do prefer opposite sex dogs to reside together but another dog is not essential
A home with children is fine but we would prefer they are dog savvy
A home that will keep her well stimulated and exercised her entire life
