About Cojo
Hello, my name is Cojo. I'm a 10-month-old Kelpie with a beautiful red and tan coat.
I’m a well-behaved pup who knows how to sit on command, shake hands, travel calmly in the car, stay, and fetch a ball. My recall is improving, and I’m sure it will get better once we get to know each other and bond as I love to stay close to my humans. I walk really well on a lead too and don't pull. I'm house-trained and use the doggy door and am comfortable being an indoor or outdoor dog.
I am pretty simple to please, food, cuddles, toys, chasing the ball and tug of war make me very happy but I also calm down when told and love to chill out. I’m very eager to learn more and be trained, always looking for ways to show my humans I’m clever! One of my favourite things to do is place my head on your lap for a head and ear scratch or cosy up next to you on the couch.
I will thrive in an active household filled with love and energy. I adore being around my humans and get along well with other dogs with good manners. Although I haven't been tested with cats, my gentle nature suggests I could adjust well with a slow introduction. While I adore children, I would be best suited to a home with older children or those very confident with dogs, as I can sometimes be unaware of my size and strength.
I’d do best in a home where family members are around most of the time, allowing me to be an integral part of daily life. I also would do well with another confident doggo around for company when my humans need to go out. I have a lot of love to give and am ready to share my sweet nature with my forever family.

You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa.
