About Georgette
Meet Georgette, the last of her litter to find a home. She and her siblings were an accidental litter, surrendered to Pawfect Pals at 10 weeks old. Now 18 weeks old, she is more than ready to find the Pawfect home!
Georgette looks a little different to her siblings, BUT she isn't really any different at all. Though she has a spinal deformity, she gets around just fine (see medical notes below for more information).
Like all puppies she is full of beans and good times... she could care less that she won't be a traditional working kelpie, there are many other "jobs" waiting for her. She’s super smart, playful and affectionate. Her favourite activity is being with her human, whether that’s a walk, a game or snuggled on the couch binge watching Bridgerton. (true story!)
Georgette loves other dogs and is even respectful of cats, though does try to initiate play with them! She would be fine in a smaller living environment (like apartment or townhouse) as long as she is given adequate mental and physical stimulation to prevent problem behaviours.
If you don't care that your pup walks a little differently to the regular pack beat, and you embrace our love of all rescue dogs, Georgette might share her heart, her smarts and the Netflix remote control with you.
Medical notes
Georgette was born with a wonky spine. We had her assessed by a specialist who said that the malformed area of the spine has fused and will therefore not cause any pain. It may become more visually prominent as she grows and may stretch the surrounding gaps between vertebra increasing the possibility of disc herniating either side of the abnormality. She didn’t feel that the abnormality will likely affect her quality of life or longevity in a pet home.
