Penny - 16 Month Old Shih Tzu

Meet Penny, a gorgeous 16-month-old Shih-tzu. She is an extremely intelligent, playful and affectionate puppy with a loving nature. She is playful and curious and loves to play with her toys nonstop throughout the day. She adores being in the company of her humans and being with them wherever they go.

By the end of full and active day Penny loves to snuggle up on the lounge and have cuddles. Penny is responding well to basic commands. She is highly trainable due to her intelligence and wanting to please her human.

Penny is a very social pup and mixes well not only with other dogs but children and everyone she meets. Since coming into care Penny is loving her daily walks and is walking well on a lead. She is responding well to her training such as sit and stay. Penny is toilet trained and confidently uses a dog door. She is an avid eater, learning to sit and wait before devouring her food. Penny responds well to treats. After a full day of running around and loving life Penny sleeps in her own bed next to her human.

Being still young Penny will require daily physical and mental stimulation. She would thrive in a home where she can get plenty of exercise and be included with her humans. She would do well in an active family with children over 5, a single person who has time for her and works from home part of the week. She requires a secure yard where she can run and play with access to a dog door. She would also love to have another fur friend who would be willing to play.

Penny is in foster care in Charlestown NSW (Lake Macquarie). She is not available for interstate adoption. Her adoption fee is $800 and she is desexed, vaccinated , treated for fleas and worms and microchipped.
