About Ruby
Meet Ruby, a cat that is the very embodiment of "kind and gentle." She's little a shy initially, but once you break through her wall, you will find a loving feline who will attach herself to you like a true friend.
Ruby loves to connect with people she trusts on a deep level. An eye gazer, she likes to lookright into your soul, which reveals the pure affection she has for you. The gaze of those beautiful eyes certainly makes the bond between you two stronger than ever.
Ruby loves snuggling up to her favourite human. You'll see her seldom leave your side, especially during those cosy winter nights when all she wants is to curl up next to you. While she enjoys her quiet, peaceful time with her human, she can also be very playful. Her energy lights up the room as she pounces, chases, and bounces around.
Though at first, you might find her a bit reserved, don't let her shy demeanor fool you. Ruby just needs a little time to trust and get comfortable with her new surroundings. With just a bit of patience and understanding, you will see her personality shine through. And once she trusts you, she attaches quite strongly to you.
Be it a peaceful nap on your lap, engaging in a playful chase, or simply sharing a gentle gaze, Ruby is sure to bring joy, happiness, and a lot of love into her new family's life. Therefore, if you're looking for a silent support system that will bring rhythm and love to your life, Ruby is the cat for you. Meet Ruby today, because a gem like her won't stay around for long!

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
