WILBUUURRR!!!
Now that I've got your attention, let me tell you a bit about myself. I came into foster care a few months ago and have been undergoing treatment for heartworm, I've been given the all clear now so I am ready to find my forever home.
I am a happy, cuddly, excitable, protective, playful dog. I love humans and constantly keep an eye on my human children who I adore. I am working on not jumping up when excited so I need humans who can remind me.
I love playing rough with other staffys and will be submissive at times keeping it playful, but other dogs can find me too full on. Therefore I am not a dog park kind of dog, as I need to get better with my doggy manners and reactivity. Structured socialisation in controlled environments will help me to work on this.
I am smart and love treats so am easy to train. I get a bit excited and pull when I walk on leash but I walk well with my face halti on, sitting to cross the road. I love shower time and a gentle hose down on a hot day. I am affectionate, preferring to be close to my people and as I’m your typical staffy nugget I would prefer cuddles on your lap.
I'm looking for a home where I will be included as part of the family in daily life, and given the ongoing training, socialisation, and boundaries to help me be the best dog I can be.
Wilbur is $350 to adopt and comes desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated, heartworm tested (negative post treatment), and given flea/tick/worm prevention.
