About Marshmellow - Located in Preston
Dearest readers, allow me to introduce myself, the enchanting Miss Marshmellow. A sweet and lovely creature, I am renowned for my ability to bring warmth and comfort to any lap I grace. Picture, if you will, a beautiful dilute tortoiseshell, with a coat as soft as the finest velvet and a heart full of affection.
I am on a quest, not unlike those of the grand heroines of our beloved novels, for a home where I may bask in tranquility and grow ever more confident. A place where I can relax, perhaps on a sun-dappled window seat or curled up by the fire, knowing that I am cherished and adored.
My greatest delight is to snuggle close, feeling the gentle rise and fall of my chosen companion's breath as we share a moment of pure, unspoken understanding. I am, without doubt, the perfect lap warmer, a feline who delights in the simple pleasure of a cuddle.
So, to those kind souls who seek a sweet and devoted friend, know that I, Miss Marshmellow, await you with open paws and a heart full of love. Let us embark together on this most delightful journey of companionship and affection.

WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
