About Soot
Meet Soot,
Soot is a friendly kitten who would be suitable for most homes. He is easy-going & loves to play & interact with the ACF staff.
He had a bit of a rough start to his shelter life, he was fussy with food & only liked to eat with an audience which impacted his weight & growth. However, he is very healthy and ready to find a forever home!
Soot is very friendly, playful & curious & will make you laugh. It is almost like he knows how cute he is and he loves to use this to his advantage.
Soot is affectionate and doesn’t mind being picked up, carried, and cuddled so he would be suitable for families. He would make a great mate for kids and is open to meet children of any age! Soot loves to climb up your arm & give you kisses on your cheeks.
Just like all kittens, Soot would love a cat tree to climb on and scratch, and an assortment of toys to play with. He should be fed kitten food multiple times a day to ensure that he grow up big and strong.
Soot is already litter trained, but it’s best to show him where the litter tray is when you get home to minimise any accidents.
Unfortunately Soot doesn't appear to be that great with other kittens. He tends to... Well... He kind of bullies the other kittens a little, and we are sure it's all in jest. With an experienced owner you may be able to get him to play nice, he is still young & he may be like this because he was on his own for sometime before coming into our care. He doesn't mean any harm though.
Can you open your heart and home to a friendly, playful kitty like Soot?
Post-Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as seamless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories - most are left in the shelter by their owners. The information we have is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks may surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
