Introducing Monty,

This handsome 5 year old fella is looking for his new forever home!

Monty is a sweet boy who enjoys your company, he can sometimes be a little unsure at first but it really doesn't take too long for him to feel comfortable however, for that reason we think he'd be happier in a home with no young children where everyone is willing to go at his pace and give him space until he's ready.

This dashing man has spent some time in foster while waiting for his turn to shine in the Adoption Spotlight. His foster carers had nothing but nice things to say about him - "Monty is great, he loves people and pats! For a Kelpie he has been so relaxed. We have been going for a walk at 7am and 7pm but otherwise he just likes to sleep most of the day. He is quite independent but still loves a bum rub, he would be a great fit to any home".

Monty is lacking a little confidence and social skills around other dogs therefore at this stage he'd be happier being the only dog in the household and would like his new owners to take it slow when it comes to mixing with other dogs whilst out and about.

At 5 years old he's a little calmer than some of our other young bucks here but he is still an excitable man who would appreciate a good long walk, being a kelpie mix he is a high energy working breed and also a very intelligent man so will need lots of mental enrichment too.
