About Locky
Locky our little Maltese Gentleman, who once you look into his eyes, just melts your heart.. So, his favorite pastime is getting cuddles,heading out for a walk or just laying on your lap being petted while watching TV. He loves to be on anything extra fluffy.
Locky is an affectionate loving little boy who thinks anything soft and fluffy is for cuddling … He is well behaved in the home and not destructive at all.
Locky is house trained if he has access to outdoors as well
He is a 100% inside dog except for walks and toileting
He likes squeaky toys and enjoys sharing play time with you
Locky is not a fan of the car and does like to snuggle on your lap or a soft fluffy bed during travel but will settle once you are on the way
This gorgeous loving little boy is a man of the people and will make a lovely little companion for a special loving family.
When Locky arrived he had definitely not been very well cared for but we have done everything possible to make sure this little boy can live the rest of his life happily and pain free.
Locky does not cope at home alone and will cry his little heart out if left alone so he does require a home where someone is home most of the time
Sleeping habits - Lockie once he settles for the night sleeps well. As long as he has anything fluffy to sleep on. He does have his own bed and will curl up in it. His foster family does allow him to sleep on the bed with them and he will come up and curl into you when he is sleeping, while sleeping on their bed, on the odd occasion he has been known to sneak under the covers of the bed.
Visitors –Lockie is very friendly with visitors especially if he can get cuddles from them.
Lockie just needs someone to give cuddles and more cuddles. Someone who is a homebody or can take him with them often. He doesn’t need a lot of exercise, just small walks.
Locky is not a fan of other dogs and will bark at them

Locky has had a major dental and had his teeth cleaned and many extractions
He has an enlarged heart and is now on heart medication that is daily and for the rest of his life
Locky does have arthritis in his back legs and has had 4 x 4 weeks of yearly injections and is also now on anti-inflammatory medication to assist and this has made a huge difference for him . He has a low grade luxating patella that does not require surgery but he is NOT allowed to jump off and on high areas like beds etc to ensure this does not worsen
