Susie

Please note, that although Susie is small she is active, busy and energetic, and will need an active home.

Susie's new home will require:

- A desexed male dog, will need to be of similar size, playful and energetic (not senior)
- To be allowed inside when her family are home and to sleep of a night.
- To have an arrangement of toys, to chew and play with.
- Continued training.
- To be involved in the families activities.

Introducing Susie!
Susie is an energetic and affectionate little girl!

Susie is ready to start her new life as a much-loved member of the family! Susie loves her toys, playing with her foster brother (a 1.5-year-old Cavalier), zooming around the house, and giving her foster mum lots of kisses and cuddles.
Susie came into foster care with no training, but in a few short weeks has already learnt sit, to go to the toilet outside, to sleep in a crate, and has gone for her first walk on the lead. She still has a few accidents inside but is improving by the day, and the lead is still a new experience for her. Susie will need ongoing training once adopted, however she is clever and very food motivated, so this shouldn’t be too difficult.

Susie has met new people of different genders whilst in foster care and is friendly, excited and affectionate, showing no signs of stress or fear. She loves meeting new dogs on her walks and is very playful with them. Susie also travels very well in the car.

Susie sleeps well both in bed with her foster mum and in the crate. She does initially cry a little in the crate but settles down quickly, and with continued training this will improve. Susie is not tested with children or other animals (cats etc.). She can be a little bit nippy and jumpy when playing, so we recommend she goes to a household with children over the age of 12 who can learn how to respond appropriately.
Susie would love to go to a home with another playful energetic dog – an older, sleepier dog would not suit Susie as she is a bit of an energiser bunny, and is still learning that not all dogs want to play 24/7!
