Introducing Carro.

Carro loves being the centre of attention and if you're looking for a companion to snuggle with on the couch or to keep your feet warm in bed on a cold winters night he is the man for the job. When first coming into care Carro suffered badly with separation anxiety which may be contributed by the loss of his original owner and having his world turned upside down. Initially when left alone for periods of time and although he had his foster siblings to keep him company Carro would cry at the top of his lungs fearing that you weren’t going to come back home. Carro loves his humans so much that he cannot bear to be without them so he needs someone that will set boundaries and be consistent and continue the training his foster carer has done with him. With some hard work and setting boundaries we have now got Carro to the point where he has learnt self soothe and is ok to be left for short periods so his ideal home would be one with someone that is retired or home quiet often.

He loves his walks and gets so excited when you get the lead out he will become quiet vocal sharing his excitement. Although Carro has been in foster care and has tolerated his foster siblings we feel that Carro would feel more comfortable being the only dog in the home. Carro is cat friendly, will sit on command, shake paws and knows the command bed. He is a very handsome boy that has so much love to give and will shower you with affection. He is a smart boy that does his best to please you. He is house trained and knows how to use a dog door. Carro does have a mild heart murmur that doesn’t need to be medicated at this stage but may require medication down the track.
