About Lady
Introducing the beautiful Lady!
Lady is a Toy Poodle x born 8th April 2023.
Lady was brought in to us as a "stray" by her owner who didn't realise we would be able to chase the microchip back to them. She was subsequently surrendered to the facility for rehoming. Her surrender profile states that she's not house trained, she travels well in the car, she has no separation anxiety, is friendly with children & adult strangers, is good with dogs & cats and can walk on a lead.
While she's been at the facility she has been a very timid girl. She loves to cuddle the staff & volunteers but she trembles the entire time.
Lady tested well with other dogs & became quite a lot more relaxed with them. We believe Lady would be suitable to live with another dog, or be the spoilt only "child" at home. If you have a friendly dog at home, we will need to do a meet & greet with them to ensure they get along before going home.
Lady showed no interest in cats or pocket pets, however she did seem quite scared of cats. With the reaction we saw, we believe that with a slow & controlled introduction she would be suitable to live with smaller animals. *Please note: this testing is only done through an enclosure, we cannot guarantee how she will behave if cats or pocket pets were free roaming in front of her.
We have seen no signs of separation anxiety or food aggression while she's been at the facility.
She still has so much to learn about the world and life and would love to be in a home where she is included as a member of the family. Lady will thrive in an environment that guides her with positive direction and lots of love and attention.
Lady's adoption fee is $500 and includes her desexing and lifetime registration.
Lady is also regularly treated for flea and worms and is up to date with her vaccinations

Lady is looking forward to meeting you and she is currently located in East Maitland.
Medical notes
Although she is only 1yr, we believe she will need a dental in the near future
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
