Vegemite

Vegemite This little lady has stolen the hearts of her foster family. She is sweet, gentle and so affectionate. Affectionately called Veggie has been living with resident kelpie Blaze , and visiting neighbor French bulldog henny.
Vegemite is a wee little Jack Russell x girl weighing in at just 5.8 kilos of excitable affectionate typical JRT fun .

She has shared beds with a 10 and 11 year old as well as all dogs together and just loves a belly rub to drift off to sleep.
She has learned to go outside to do her business, just needs gentle reminding at times.
Veggie has had full access to indoors and outdoors at all times as she does not like to be fully involved in what’s going on inside for long periods of time she defiantly a little sticky beak who wants to be involved lol
Although she will try to get other dogs food at dinner time she understands her place and is eating well.
Currently she is on premium dry food and boiled chicken broth as she was a little underweight when she arrived and this has bulked her up beautifully.

.Veggie loves to cuddle and needs someone who will spend time with her, she craves love and attention.
Veggie is great on a lead and loves exploring new places, sights and smells. She can get a little jealous at times when on your lap and giving attention to other dogs however a gentle “ah ah” reminder and she settles

Veggie has captivated us all with her yawns and vocals in the morning. Often referred to as a cat's meow by her 10 year old foster sister.

Vegemite is a typical Jack Russell who adores the chance to explore and sniff EVERYTHING so if you leave the door open she will take herself off to the neighbors and surroundings to head out and meet and greet so take heed to close the front door.

Vegemite does sit with a slight splayed leg stance , but we have had her assessed by 3 different vets and they are not concerned about this and there is no medical concerns as this can be typical of breed

.Veggie is energetic, vibrant and a constant source of entertainment with her vocals and parkour abilities.
One moment she’s in the kitchen ….. next she is on your lap !
Veggie would be best suited to a home with another canine that she can continue to learn from as well as have for companionship.

We have not tested her with cats but we do know she will chase chickens so we feel pocket pets are not a great idea

IDEAL HOME/ Adoption Criteria

A good size yard with plenty of shade. shelter and secure fencing
She would thrive in a home with another dog who is playful well mannered and well socialized with other dogs
Children in the home are fine as she adores them
A home that can take her out for a walk and who enjoy playful little dogs who are full of affection and joy
A home who will allow her to be a part of the family and sleep inside with indoor outdoor access
