About Lola
Introducing the beautiful Lola!
Lola is a Staffy x born approx 16th December 2022.
This stunning lady was brought in as an unmicrochipped stray & unfortunately no owner came looking for her. She was incredibly scared when she arrived at the facility & she was carried into the kennel. Within an hour of being with us, she was desperate for loving, human interaction & fell asleep on the lap of one of our volunteers. Since then her confidence has continued to grow & she's become very playful, food motivated and of course, has remained very affectionate.
Lola tested well with other dogs & she wants to be playful with them, however she does seem a little unsure about how to play. She thought she would instigate play with a smaller, scared dog, by bopping him on the head, which obviously didn't go down well with the smaller dog. We believe Lola would be suitable to live with another dog, or be the spoilt only "child" at home. If you have a friendly dog at home, we will need to do a meet & greet with them to ensure they get along before going home.
Lola showed no interest in cats or pocket pets. With the reaction we saw, we believe that with a slow & controlled introduction she would be suitable to live with smaller animals. *Please note: this testing is only done through an enclosure, we cannot guarantee how she will behave if cats or pocket pets were free roaming in front of her.
Lola does bark on occasion when she is left alone, however this is usually only if she can see humans, but isn't able to get to them to say hello. We have seen no other signs of separation anxiety while she's been at the facility.
She still has so much to learn about the world and life and would love to be in a home where she is included as a member of the family. Lola will thrive in an environment that guides her with positive direction and lots of love and attention.
Lola's adoption fee is $450 and includes her desexing and lifetime registration.
Lola is also regularly treated for flea and worms and is up to date with her vaccinations

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
