Goorie is a fun-loving, friendly Fox terrier looking to bring joy and companionship to his new family. This intelligent and lively boy with a sparkling personality just turned 2 years and 10 months old. At just 5kg, Goorie is the perfect size to follow you around the house or sit comfortably in your lap when you settle down to unwind.
Goorie is up-to-date on all his vaccinations, microchipped and desexed. He also receives his worming treatment, ensuring he's in the best of health and ready to become part of your family.
With an energetic personality, Goorie gets along wonderfully with cats, and is selective about his canine friends, enjoying the company of those who match his play style. He's a fantastic match for households with adults who love small dogs , and his small size and affectionate nature make him a great companion for gentle, respectful older kids.
Being a Fox terrier, Goorie loves to explore and play, but he equally enjoys the indoor life. He would be happiest in a home that can provide a safe and secure indoor environment. A normal fence-type is required, as Goorie is an indoor dog and he can be trusted to behave inside the house.
He would require a slow introduction with another calm dog, maybe female.
Lights up when he sees his favourite people, Goorie is sure to delight his new home with his swift wiggles and wagging tail. Whether you have a busy household or are looking for a companion for quiet moments in an otherwise active life, Goorie could be the perfect match. He's ready to find a family to love and be loved by. If you're seeking a new companion to share in your adventures, consider meeting Goorie. His bags are packed and he's ready to go!
Goodies nickname is SOARKY and he loves spending time with his trainer Aline from Aline Free Dogs

Here are some quick tips to make your APPLICATION stand out:
Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Here’s some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
🐱 Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the pet’s bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
🐾 Details about your family
🏡 Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
Be open and honest - rescues prefer having as much information as they can about potential adopters.
An adoption fee applies to each animal to cover only the basic veterinary procedures, and each adoption goes out on a 21 day settling in period, if the dog is returned in this period, and you’ve spoken to our trainer for assistance, and the dog is returned in good health, mentally and physically, and all their belongings and paperwork are returned, then we provide a refund less $50 admin fee. This is not a trial, but in case of any unknown or unforeseen circumstances.
The adoption process is as follows
✅Everyone that lives in the home will meet the dog with the carer
✅We ask everyone go home again and discuss and think about overnight and contact us the next day
✅This also gives the carer a chance to think about suitability
✅Then if everyone agrees we then require a home inspection, or at least photos of the home yard and fences.
✅Then the adoption fee is paid and once that clears our account you are free to arrange with the carer to collect
✅The adoption paperwork comes out in 14 days in which time you are required to register and change chip over
