About Buddy
Meet Buddy, an adorable Maltese x Shih Tzu mix who is almost four years old. With his charming black and white coat, Buddy is as eye-catching as he is lovable. This playful little guy has a zest for life, always ready for a game of fetch or a run in the yard. He thrives on the companionship of his humans, relishing every moment of playtime and affection.
Buddy is a social butterfly when it comes to other dogs, currently enjoying the company of his canine friends while he waits for his forever home. His friendly nature makes him a joy to be around for both people and pets alike.
Buddy is looking for a special home with no kids or older children who can understand his need for boundaries and training. He will flourish in an environment where consistent rules are set, helping him become the best version of himself. Regular daily walks are a must for Buddy, as he loves to explore the world around him, soaking in new sights and smells while bonding with his humans.
If you're looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who will bring endless joy to your life, Buddy is the perfect match. Adopt Buddy and give him the loving home he deserves!
To book a meet and greet with Buddy please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
