About Poco
Poco is a shy and gentle little girl. Once she knows you, she loves a head scratch and would jump on your lap (or your shoulder!) any chance she gets.
Currently in foster care with two dogs, she can be a little unsure of larger dogs but is fairly content with other small dogs, whilst she hasn't played with her foster siblings (we think in time she will) she does enjoy snuggling up with them.
Poco is looking for a chihuahua savvy family that can help continue to build her confidence, she requires someone home more often than not and would not cope with someone out of the house all day so a WFH arrangement is best for this little tiny gal.
Poco is sweet, precious and oh so cute!
MY IDEAL HOME: At 2.4 kg, Poco is only a tiny girl and gets easily spooked by sudden movements and loud noises. She would prefer her human companion(s) at home more often than not and a yard (or a park nearby) where she could sniff to her heart's content.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Still a young pup, Poco enjoys her daily walks with lots of opportunities to explore and sniff. After her daily outing, she likes to nap and observe you as you go about your day. She also doesn't mind accompanying you for a brunch or coffee, as long as she can be on your lap for most of it.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Due to her tiny frame and shy nature, Poco is not suited to young children. She would love a calm adult household or a home with older children, where she can get a lot of affection on her own terms.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Poco can get a little intimidated by larger dogs but gets along well with other small dogs. She has not shown any interest in playing so far, but has enjoyed snuggling with her chihuahua foster brother. She has not been tested with cats.

For Dogs: https://form.jotform.co/80677377750872
Please use these links rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
