About Gena
Introducing Gena, the 6-month-old black and white Border Collie mix. Gena is a princess and enjoys the finer things in life, a spot in front of the fire, a fluffy blanket, a stocked up toy box and as many treats as possible.
She is shy at first but once she trusts you, she loves nothing more than a snuggle and little nanna nap in your arms. Gena shows more confidence in new environments with a fur buddy to provide guidance and reassurance, and for this reason would be better suited to a home with another dog that can help her settle in.
She loves filling her day playing outside with the other dogs while her humans are at work, before heading inside for an afternoon with her family including the household cats. She has shown no aggression toward other dogs with food or toys and is respectful of the inside cats (not tested with outside cats).
Gena sleeps all night in her crate without incident. She is working on her basic manners and her toilet training however is just a puppy and will do well with a family that will continue her training and build her confidence. She will suit an active family where she is included in the day to day activities.
If you’re looking for a beautiful girl to be your fireside friend and light up your life, apply now.
Gena is located in NSW.
Medical notes
Gena has some slight swelling around the growth plates in her hind knees. Low impact exercise and Meloxicam (only when required) is being used to treat this until the growth plates fully grow over. Vet Clinical Summary provided with Adoption paperwork.

You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. We offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
