I'm a Gem - whatever that is.......(but I hear it's a good thing)

Between you and me it feels a bit like somebody didn't like having me and my sisters hanging about. Luckily someone saved us just in the nick of time from a drain - like a big mouth with no teeth - just before we would have been scrambling for life jackets.

Life is better now - we eat every day, it's warm and dry and we get to play with all the other little gems (I guess that's what they are), and people. The only thing is I still sleep in a cage, not on your bed, or your couch - I would love to get on a couch that would be so dreamy! I hear from the older cats that to have those special things I need a special person, or even a family. Can you please be mine?

I secretly do crosswords in my spare time but I have to hide those so the humans here don't get too embarrassed. Just so you know too - I am practicing my purr for the purr choir. Pretty sure you'll enjoy that, most humans seem to get all goo goo when they hear me.
