About Lila
Lovely Lila is a smart, independent little lady who enjoys being active through her twice daily walks and doing ‘Beach’ but equally enjoys keeping a close eye on neighbourhood activities while lounging at home, earning her the nickname ‘Esme Watson’.
Lila’s dream job is to be a Truffle dog as her love of finding and following scents is only matched by her love of food. Given she’s a Broome Dog, crabbing at the beach is currently her best option.
Since being in foster care Lila has been eagerly learning new commands and tricks, how to walk on a lead, how to do ‘car’ and how to be social with humans.
Lila has a healthy respect for the unknown so likes to be formally introduced to new things in a positive manner. Lila is being exposed to new things around the home like lawnmowers, drills and mops and is settling into suburban life nicely. The hose is still a point of contention as it results in baths….
Prospective homes should know that Lila prefers not to meet other dogs when out and about and will never be a bustling dog-park pupster.
Lila is realising that humans can be quite helpful and subtly communicates her needs through body language and vocal skills. She prefers humans who respect her boundaries and are observant of her doggie language.
While she loves to play with her soft toys and cuddle when it suits her, she prefers not to be fussed over. Lila just loves her kennel where she can get a good rest and have some time out.
If you are a reliable human who takes the time to play with and train your dog and likes a smart dog with character, then Lila is the pooch for you. Lila’s ideal adoptive home has no kids or kids over 12 years and is without other dogs and cats.
Dogs make wonderful companions, and the benefits of bringing one home are immense. They’re loyal, loving, and endlessly entertaining. Plus, you’ll never be lonely or bored with a pup by your side.
Adopting a dog can also provide you with an opportunity to give a pup in need a second chance. With the right amount of love and patience, you can help your pooch become a confident, well-rounded canine companion.
You’ll also get to experience the unique bond between two-legged and four-legged friends. Plus, dogs can provide you with plenty of physical and mental health benefits. From providing you with daily exercise, to reducing stress and anxiety, to providing you with unconditional love and companionship, the advantages of canine ownership are endless.
So, if you’re ready to welcome a pup into your life, consider adopting a dog today. You won’t regret it!

4 THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE APPLYING:
1. Time Commitment: Owning a dog is a big responsibility and requires a significant commitment of time and energy. Be sure to consider how much time you can realistically dedicate to caring for a dog and make sure you are prepared to make that commitment.
2. Cost: Owning a dog can be expensive. Make sure to consider the cost of food, medical care, toys, and other supplies. You may also want to think about enrolling your dog in obedience classes or hiring a professional dog walker.
3. Space: Depending on the breed, some dogs require a lot of space. Make sure you have enough room in your home and yard to accommodate a dog before making the decision to adopt.
4. Lifestyle: Think about your current lifestyle and how a dog may fit into it. Consider if you have any restrictions such as travel, work hours, or allergies. Also, think about how owning a dog may affect your social life.
