About Rodney
Rodney is a lovely pure white med hair angora desexed 12yo cat.
I’m Rodney, Hot Rod and Rod Stewart.
I’m a sweet, funky older gentleman who would love to find my forever home. Unfortunately my previous owner could no longer care for me when they became sick. They were great, and really got me- they are also a man and this explains my love for my foster dad. It doesn’t matter the time of day, where he is in the house I will seek him out and demand attention. My favourite is when he works from home and this means he’s stuck at his desk, which means he’s stuck with me. I make unique loud purrs just to let him know how much I love him.
I’ve had never lived with other pets but in my foster home I live with another younger cat Anchovy and two dog siblings. My dog friends are cat savvy so we don’t have any issues but Maisy is a kelpie and young so sometimes that’s a bit overwhelming for me. Anchovy and I happily co-exist and steal each other’s food.
I like to spend my days on my favourite arm chair and spending supervised time in the garden with my foster parents. I really enjoy rolling in the dirt and watching the birds- as I’m pure white, my outside time needs to minimal due to sun cancer risk, and it would be great if you’d put some sunscreen on me if we’re heading out into the sun.
Besides my love for men, I love my food. I can be a bit fussy but I’ve been eating for 12 years, of course I have preferences. I get fed twice a day and I’ll let you know if you’re running late.
I’m a perfect litter box user, I don’t miss a beat, even when my foster mum was cheeky and moved one of my litter boxes. Silly foster mum.
As an older gentleman, I’m not particularly playful but I’ll let you know I found two moths in the bathroom and I made sure to gobble them up quick smart.
I think I’ve painted a pretty good picture here, a great friend, low maintenance and sweet. I’m flexible with what could be the perfect family, ideally a home where I’m allowed to be my independent self, free from any overwhelming personalities and a warm place to snuggle on the couch at night. If you think we could be a good fit, please enquire about me, Hot Rod.
