About Reighaya
Say hello to the lovely Reighaya! This adorable pup loves being included in family activities - whether it's hanging out on the couch, playing in the yard or taking trips to the park.
Ghaya enjoys being close to her family while maintaining a charmingly aloof demeanour. She adores zoomies and playing chasey games, but also likes tug-o-war and the occasional game of fetch.
Although her recall skills are best described as 'selective' Reighaya is a smart cookie who knows her commands like sit, drop, give paw, and speak. She's crate-trained and used to sleeping in her crate or bed at night. She enjoys spending time indoors and outdoors depending on where her people are handing out, and will let you know when she needs to go out to the toilet.
Reighaya's stunning coat is long and quite woolly even for her breed, so she will need regular brushing or visits to a groomer. While it's not her favourite thing in the world, she doesn't mind jumping in the shower with her people and having a brush and blow-dry afterwards. She even likes the occasional swim at the beach.
Unfazed by storms, loud noises or foot traffic passing by her home, Reighaya will channel her inner guard dog when visitors arrive - giving a few barks before settling down. Ghaya is friendly with unfamiliar people but appreciates strangers allowing her to make friends at her own pace before they try to cuddle up to her.
Ghaya would do well in a home with children who are old enough to understand and respect her independent nature. She loves things like lying near kids while they are on the computer, and coming up for occasional cuddles.
She is happy living as an only dog, but would likely enjoy having a compatible canine housemate. She loves running and playing with dogs at the park and espcially enjoys dogs with a fast and chasey play style. While she currently lives with 3 cats, Ghaya would be best suited to a home without cats of pocket pets, as she does she gets tempted to chase.
Reighaya would be a paw-fect match for someone seeking an independent but loyal companion to share life's adventures with. Can you picture Reighaya by your side?
Medical notes
When Reighaya was younger she had surgery to repair a luxating patella (kneecap). She has completely recovered and is happy, healthy and living her best life!

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Following adoption - change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on listing) will be provided.
