About Reign
Are you looking for a loyal mature lady to join your cozy home? Look no further than Reign, for loving quiet company wherever you are. Reign looks like a cross between an English Staffy and a hint of French Bulldog with a bit of Kelpie thrown in and at just 19 kg little lady is a smaller size med girlwho, loves a daily walk, back rubs and snoozes the rest of the day. My pet names for her are Shadow as she follows me around and Tappy Toes as she does a little joy dance when she sees me (or my family).
She is light on the lead, and loves to stop and sniff, 1 or 2 km is her perfect walk. She is content with her own company, but loves to be with kids and follow her humans around. She gives one signal bark if someone approaches the house. Other noises are an adorable purr when she sleeps, and satisfying snorts when she is talking to you or getting a rub. She never jumps or touches you, except for a loving snout bump on your knee. She stands back and waits for food, and never has accidents in the house.
She is the perfect companion for a quiet relaxed family home with a loving and warm family. Getting along with other dogs is âhit and missâ, and often dogs that she likes get a stern growl and snap if they surprise her and get in her face. For this reason she is not suited to take to off lead dog parks
Reign was a timid sad little girl when she arrived with us. On day 3 I realized that her tail had started workingâŠjust the tiniest wag, and over the coming days the wag got bigger and bigger. Now she does her tappy-toes whole-body-wag dance when she sees us come home. Her energy levels were really low at the start, and walking was a mystery to her. She didnât want to leave the yard as she thought the crate was the safest option. Now she looks forward to going for a walk, and around the block twice is even better. She dallies on her walks sniffing everything if you let her. She hates getting a jacket on, but she feels the cold so she has come around to it. She has no knowledge or interest in balls and toys.
Reign is an easy going no trouble girl who you wouldn't even know she was there most of the time she is so well behaved
Social - Reign is a little shy when meeting new strange people but warms up quickly when someone from her family is present, and remembers introduced people favorably.
Is she a dog? At home she is well behaved all the time. Not destructive at all.
Reign us house trained and will take herself out to the toilet.
She is light on her lead and much prefers a lead on collar over a harness
Food - Reign isnât a hearty eater. She didnât like kibble when she arrived. She will eat about a mug during the day, in the evening I give her a mug of kibble mixed with any dog-friendly leftover human food and 200 g of prime/can dog food. By mixed I mean with your hands, otherwise she will just select out the wet food.
Independence - sleeps when her people are out.
Bathing - hates a bath, takes off at the sound of a tap running.
Sleep â sleeps all night on her bed, can do 9 pm to 8 am
Toilet â will ask to go out by looking at the door, but at night I take her out as she is worried sheâll be forgotten.

She loves to go on a nice daily walk and explore the neighborhood
A home with no other pets
Reign is currently in care with a family home of children and she adores them all
A home that will treat her like a part of the family

Medical notes
Medical
Reign has had a,lot of veterinary work done including
Full dental and teeth extractions
Desexing/ Vaccines and Microchipping
Reign had some lumps removed from her leg which were mast cell tumors ( Very low grade) but were fortunately removed with clear margins
She does have a remaining low grade tumor in her vulva that due to positioning is unable to be removed. We have taken samples and it is a very low grade but due to its placement in vulva cannot be removed completely
Our vets cannot predict if and when this will actually affect her health if at all so we have decided to leave it as is as to not potentially disturbed the cells by attempting to cut some of it out
We have no long until this will effect Reign or if ever
