In the shadow of the 2022 flood that shook Brisbane, a tiny heartbeat clung to life. Ivy, a fragile kitten, was cradled by the remnants of a warehouse, her world washed away by the flood. Her mother lay still, leaving Ivy and her siblings to whisper for help amongst the chaos. They were soaked, hungry, shivering, and barely clinging to life.
Rescue centres, overwhelmed by the disaster, had no room for these tiny souls. That’s when the owners stepped in, hearts heavy with hope. They took Ivy into their arms, her body frail and her eyes wide open with fear. At the vet, they warned them—her chances were slim. But with each bottle feed, with every gentle stroke, Ivy’s spirit expanded. She defied the grim predictions, her will to live as fierce as the storm she’d survived.
Now, Ivy’s days are filled with the laughter of children and the comfort of a warm home. Ivy has a favorite game—catching flies! It’s so funny to watch her jump and try to catch them. Unfortunately, her owner’s lifes have taken an unexpected turn, and they must find her a new family—a family that will cherish her quiet strength and the love she has to give, especially to children. Ivy, our sweet and resilient kitty, is ready to find her loving home. She’s approximately 2 years old and has grown into a shy yet incredibly affectionate companion. Ivy loves to chase toys and is great with children. She loves being in indoor environments and has been fully vaccinated, desexed, and microchipped.
