About Briar
Meet Briar! A gorgeous scruffy girl who loves life.
This girl is very sweet, friendly with all and will suit most families.
Briar came into us from remote NSW and whilst a lovely natured girl, lacked confidence with the bigger world and all the busyness of it. She's slowly grown in confidence since being in care and is feeling more comfortable when out and about. She's currently in with one of our trainers, learning leash walking, getting confident is populated areas and is doing so very well.
She just loves other dogs, big or small, and is happy to play with any friendly dog. Briar is quite playful and loves to play chasies around the yard, along with some rumble time and a good game of bitey face too! Zoomies are always a favourite past time.
In saying that, she's also good at chilling out on the lounge when play is not on offer and is respectful of older dogs that want quiet time.
Briar can still be a little unsure of new things and react a little at first with a bark or uneasiness and then once comfortable is perfectly fine. She does require a more understanding and patient home that will happily allow her to find her feet in new environments and supply her with slow and positive experiences to build her confidence.
She will do best in a home with another slightly older, friendly and confident dog that will help her stability and feelings of security when out of the home. The dog should also be playful and happy to interact with her daily. Her humans can be in and out most days but we're not really looking for her to be alone all day during working hours.
Activity and adventure would be great for her, she likes water and would make an awesome beach babe, running in the sand and water, playing with other social dogs. She energetic enough to go on hikes and long walks and may even have the stamina as a running buddy, however, doesn't NEED loads of physical exercise.
She's quite affectionate and loves a good tummy rub and hanging with you on the lounge. She gentle with food and pretty easy to train.
Briar is great around kids, very friendly and gentle, has good house manners, travels well in the car once you coax her in or lift her in and sleeps soundly during the night. She needs to have access to indoors & out with a nice, soft, warm spot for sleepy time at night inside.
She's a great all rounder if you can offer her time to adjust to a new environment with love and patience and can understand that she's not perfect but can be in the right hands & with a bit of time.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
