About Beau
Please be upstanding for an absolute legend → Introducing Beautiful Beau!!! ♥
Beau is an 11yr old gentleman who is simply a delight to have around. He came into foster care extremely overweight and has been on a carefully constructed fitness 'boot camp' for the past couple of months. He has lost over 12kgs while in foster care but still has a little way to go to reach an even healthier weight range.
Beau requires an adopter that will be committed to keeping this handsome man fit and active and is willing to work on losing those last few kilos and then maintain a healthy balanced weight. Also an adopter strong enough not to give into his very best 'sad puppy dog eyes' when he is trying to convince you he needs a treat!!
He looooves his daily walks and sets off at a cracking pace most days! Even though he is a larger chap he certainly does not let that slow him down. He is even quite fond of a little brisk jog for a short distance. After his initial burst of energy he enjoys a lot of sniffing and catching up on the daily 'peemails' left by the other local dogs.
Beau loves everyone he meets and is a very social old soul. People, dogs, cats - his motto being 'a stranger is just a friend he hasn't met yet'. He doesn't care what he is doing as long as he is with his humans. He has been to the local footy, cafe's and even on a long weekend road trip to a farm. He sleeps soundly overnight in his crate but also enjoys a nap on the couch with his head on your lap. He loves being brushed, or just getting pats, and will happily sit for hours taking all the attention he can squeeze in!
Beau would be perfectly suited to an active retired person or couple, where he would be able to have his people around more often than not and who enjoy a walk or two each day. He will be such a lovely addition to this type of home, and deserves to live out his retirement days in comfort and being very loved. Although a little hard of hearing due to his age, the vet has otherwise given him a clean bill of health.
If you have room for a lovely older gent in your life, please do not hesitate to apply!!
Medical notes
Beau had an ear infection on arrival into foster care but was treated and healed very quickly. Vet was happy with the final swab and all infection was cleared up.
