About Tux
Whoâs always ready to be the star of the show?
âŠTux of course!
Tux is located at Rescue Hub kennels and is searching for a foster home or his forever home.
đŸ Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier
đŠ Gender: Male
đ„ Health: Desexed, vaccinated and worm & flea treated
đ§đ» Kids: Teenagers who are dog savvy
đ Animal Companions: Gaining confidence each day with walking alongside other dogs and having short interactions on lead, although still small amounts of fear reactivity and still working on his socialisation skills - will need to be the only dog in the home for now. No cats
đ Location: Rescue Hub kennels in Leppington, NSW
With his handsome black and white coat and cute floppy ears, your heart will melt when you meet this sweet boy.
Tux is always ready to be a part of the action!
He loves having space to run around and burn off his energy, as well as playing a nice game of fetch with his human companions or enjoying a self given back scratch rolling around in the grass. His spirited personality would match a household that lives an active lifestyle, so Tux can get the physical and mental stimulation he has been craving.
He can be a bit bouncy when he sees his humans, but this energy is pure excitement and quickly calms down once he has said his helloâs and had some attention.
Tux is typical to his staffy breed - he adores time with people! This affectionate boy soaks up all the scratches and belly rubs on offer, and will definitely need to be allowed indoors with his new guardians.
Tux is still working on his socialisation skills around other dogs. He is gaining more and more confidence each day with walking alongside other dogs and having short interactions on lead, although sometimes he can still display small amounts of fear reactivity (crying and pulling on lead). His new human companions will need to be dedicated in continuing training in this area, and provide Tux with the guidance, patience and understanding he needs.
Shelter dogs need time to decompress when they enter their new home, and for Tux, this will be an important step for him to succeed.
After being left unwanted and on the euthanise list, this precious boy is looking for a home that can provide him with the sense of stability, security and love he so desperately deserves.
Can you help Tux put his shelter days behind him??
