About Barney Rubble
Found as a lonely stray, Barney slowly and steadily built trust over three months with his finder until he was ready to enter our care. It wasn't easy in the beginning, but Barney's courage has since surfaced, and it's evident that he is a cat who loves love. It was clear he was utterly heartbroken with the situation he found himself in, without his trusted human and in a new, scary place.
Barney is initially a bit timid, but with a little patience, his gentle and affectionate nature comes to light. He has an endearing personality beneath that timid shell, and once he feels secure, he'll warm up and be your loving companion.
Barney feels most secure when he's cocooned under a warm blanket, where he often retreats for a nap or when he's feeling a little shy. But there's nothing to worry about, as he usually emerges before long to seek out some affection.
One of Barney's preferred ways of connecting is through gentle pats and cuddles. He just can't resist leaning into a good chin rub or ear scratch! Barney may be open to sharing his home with another feline friend or two with a cat-friendly introduction.
Barney is looking for home where he can be an indoor-only cat. He's more comfortable in familiar surroundings and would love a place he can explore freely at his own pace. A cozy spot with soft blankets for him to snuggle in would be perfect. Barney would thrive in a home that offers a patient and gentle approach, allowing him to navigate his way at his own speed.
Barney Rubble is a sweet soul who would appreciate someone who understands his need for a peaceful home. He's ready for the next step in his journey, and all he needs is that perfect person or family willing to offer love, comfort, safety, and plenty of soft blankies.
