About Grommet *On Trial*
*grommet is currently trialling his new home* grommet and his brother, wallace, are 2 healthy, happy puppies sarg recently rescued after they were found wandering the streets of mildura and noone came forward to claim them……
the handsome pups are a rhodesian ridgeback x bull mastiff blend which people here in sunraysia call a “bullion” and they are well known as a very loyal and loving, laidback breed that is great with children but also a good watch dog. Both grommet and wallace have lovely, friendly natures and adore everyone they meet. They get along well with their carers other dogs both big and small and are used to being handled (cuddled!) by humans. They both love food and aren’t fussy so hopefully this will help with their training. Grommet is the bigger of the pups and appears to have thrown more to the mastiff look with his chunkier body shape and lighter colouring - he’s like a snuggly, baby wombat! he enjoys a good game of tug-o-war with his brother or just sleeping the day away in a sunny spot like puppies do. While in care grommet will learn the basics such as “sit” and “down” and how to walk on a lead. As he’s only a young pup he will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so he grows up to have lovely manners! daily walks, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to keep grommet stimulated are also a necessity so he doesn’t get bored and up to mischief. Wallace will be on the large side once he finishes growing. Grommet would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion to learn from or on his own but only if he won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while he’s a pup.
