About Luna
All About Me and My Unique Personality:
Luna is great with kids as well as adults. She welcomes anyone for a pat and will crawl up onto anyone's lap for a cuddle. She is great off lead, has good recall, loves chasing sticks and loves water. Not a huge fan of toys unless they are thrown. She is a fantastic dog who has a lot of love to give. She has always slept inside and has only been an outside dog when alone at the house.
My Ideal Home:
Luna would be suitable as an only pet where there is lots of love and attention given to her.
What is Known About My Background:
Luna was well socialised with dogs but unfortunately due to an incident at a dog beach where another dog tried to attack Luna, she has shown aggression to other dogs, mainly female alpha dogs. This started when Luna was about 3 years old.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets:
Older children should be fine with Luna. When she is not around alpha female dogs she has a pleasant and chilled nature.
Luna has trouble with dogs that are too playful or alpha female dogs. She would thrive as an only pet.
Adoption details
Applicants will be required to complete and submit an Adoption form from https://www.hunteranimalrescue.com.au
HAR uses the details in this form to select the most appropriate family for our animals. This form allows us to get to know you, your home, your family, lifestyle and level of experience with pets.
Adoptions are NOT approved on a first come first served basis. The adoption process can be lengthy by the time we process all expressions of interest.
HAR Adoption Process
1- Carer will assess and arrange a meet and greet with suitable applicants.
2- If the meet and greet is successful, a yard/home inspection is conducted.
3- If your yard/home passes inspection, the adoption fee is paid, paperwork completed and a 2 week trial period is arranged.
4- On successful completion of the trial period HAR will submit paperwork to Local Council for processing.
Adoption fee includes:- mandatory de-sexing, microchip, vaccination, vet check, flea and worm treatment.
