Say hello to Bessie, an 8-year-old purebred Jack Russell who's lively spirit is impossible not to love. At a light 6kgs, she is the ideal little companion for someone interested in a smaller breed with buckets of personality and vitality.
Bessie has been very well cared for and comes to her new family desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, and wormed. She is a caring bundle of joy who enjoys the company of other dogs and children. As of yet untested with cats, Bessie's open nature leaves us optimistic she would be able to adjust well given time.
While Bessie loves an adventure, she also respects boundaries and knows when it's time to stay within the confines of her home. She requires a secure fence to keep her safe while she spends time exploring and engaging with her surroundings. Currently residing in Red Hill, she is ready to adjust to a new environment with open paws.
She sleeps on your bed, is house trained, loves to sleep with her head on your lap, and is just happy all the time.
Consider if you're looking for a lovable, friendly pooch who is just as happy bounding around the park as she is curling up by your side for a movie night. Interestingly, Jack Russells like Bessie are known for their vivacious energy and agility, but they also take their downtime seriously, making her perfect for a balanced lifestyle.
Bessie's adoption fee is $695 - a small price to pay for a lifetime of tail wags and cuddles from this adorable fur companion. And so, if you're searching for a canine companion who will bring joy, fun, and heaps of love into your life, consider Bessie, ready and eager to meet you.

Here are some quick tips to make your APPLICATION stand out:
Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Here’s some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
🐱 Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the pet’s bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
🐾 Details about your family
🏡 Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
Be open and honest - rescues prefer having as much information as they can about potential adopters.
An adoption fee applies to each animal to cover only the basic veterinary procedures, and each adoption goes out on a 21 day settling in period, if the dog is returned in this period, and you’ve spoken to our trainer for assistance, and the dog is returned in good health, mentally and physically, and all their belongings and paperwork are returned, then we provide a refund less $50 admin fee. This is not a trial, but in case of any unknown or unforeseen circumstances.
The adoption process is as follows
✅Everyone that lives in the home will meet the dog with the carer
✅We ask everyone go home again and discuss and think about overnight and contact us the next day
✅This also gives the carer a chance to think about suitability
✅Then if everyone agrees we then require a home inspection, or at least photos of the home yard and fences.
✅Then the adoption fee is paid and once that clears our account you are free to arrange with the carer to collect
✅The adoption paperwork comes out in 14 days in which time you are required to register and change chip over
