Have you ever wished you could find a dog with the personality of a puppy, but the training of an adult dog? Introducing Stubby! Stubby is a young boy with the most gorgeous soft puppy fur and squishy face. Don’t let his youth fool you though; he’s fully grown, completely toilet trained, sleeps all night quietly by himself, sits before dinner, has learnt to shake, and is starting to work on his leash training. He is sociable and happily greets other friendly dogs and humans on a walk, but respects if they prefer to keep to themselves. Stubby has been living with a foster dog sister, two cats that keep their distance and a house full of older kids.

As a young boy, Stubby is looking for a home where he will be given lots of enriching activity and a chance to further his training to ensure he fits perfectly into his new family. He is smart, food and affection motivated as well as sociable, so would do well in a formal obedience environment. Stubby is settled when left at home, but happiest with a companion nearby, whether human or canine. He looks at the cats in his foster home, but never barks or lunges. If they would give him a chance, he may even learn to live respectfully alongside them. Stubby loves to chew his dog sister’s ears and all his favourite toys, but has been very respectful of furniture. Lot’s of chew toys, walks and enriching activities are a must to keep a dog of Stubby’s age busy. Stubby adores people, including children and would love to spend his days chasing a ball, playing tug-o-war or wrestling with a dog companion.

Due to Stubby’s strength and exuberance, he is best suited to older dog-savvy kids and medium to large dog friends.
