About John
John is a hilarious, smart and playful one-year old kelpie boy, with a sunny disposition. He loves people and wants nothing more than to be by your side and shower you with affection.
While he adores children, he would be best suited to a home with older children or those very confident with dogs, as he can sometimes be unaware of his size. John is dog-social and loves to play with friendly dogs of all sizes. Being a young pup, he can still have silly, zoomie moments and may need reminders to moderate his play, which he can do when asked. He would be compatible in a home as an only dog as long as he had his humans around most of the time, or with another dog who can match his energy.
John travels well in the car, is crate trained, and responds to basic commands such as sit, stay, wait, come, and on your bed. His loose lead walking is also coming along nicely. John is adaptable and eager to please, which makes him a joy to train. He will need continued, ongoing training with an experienced owner to help him flourish into a confident, well behaved adult.
John would thrive in an active home where family members are around more often than not, and where he can be incorporated into activities. He is an absolute gem and will make a wonderful canine companion.
John is located in VIC.

Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa.
