About Boss
BOSS/Bosley (Charlies Angels Bosley 😊).
Boss is your typical boxer, goofy, playful and cuddly bundle of licky joy. He can play all day long. He can jump like a kangaroo but needs lifting into the back of the car – even though he is capable of jumping in. He is only a baby still, and is learning to walk on the lead and potty training is nearly there. He will be bigger than most boxers, he is still growing into his huge paws which are great for digging.
He is snuggly, adorable and ever so sweet. He has a very kissable little face.
He does not like closed doors and needs to know where you are all the time, you will never be able to go to the toilet alone, he can open doors with the handle, he will want the toilet paper in your hand 😊 He does have separation anxiety so initially would need to go to a home where he is not left alone all day. Separation anxiety can be resolved.
He will try most foods – and likes cheese. He is on a mixed diet here with raw chicken legs, necks etc and raw beef mince, roo, rice and veggies and some commercial dog food rolls – basically he will try everything. He likes to lean on your leg as you are making food to see if there are any tit bits for him too.
He will sit on you rather than next to you, loves cuddles and just being with you. He has some separation anxiety that needs to be worked on. He is never alone in his foster home and has a playmate and he would benefit from having another playmate to burn up the never ending energy supply. He does calm down for a nap in the afternoon and at night time for TV snuggles. Ideally you would have another young dog for Boss to play with
He is living with a cat who has put him in his place, but his response is to bark at the snarling cat. He has not tried to hurt the cat at all or go too close.
He is your typical stubborn boxer, but loyal and by your side for cuddles 24/7.
At night he is locked in our ensuite with his puppy friend and will scratch at the door and whine to be let out for a wee.
Unlike our current dog who is nearly a year old, Boss does not try to eat random bits of plastic, lego or toys, however cushions and pool noodles are at risk.
He will bark at people at the door – doing his best to protect you.
In the dog park he is 95% brilliant –good with other dogs, likes to chase a ball – but can lose interest in it and fail to bring it back, if he does bring it back the game is about getting it off him. But sometimes he thinks barking at a dog will make it play with him, mainly puppy exuberance. He would suit to have another playmate as he is extremely high energy.
As your typical boxer, he is great with children, especially children who like being sat on and followed everywhere, he likes to know what you are doing at all times.
He is totally adorable, any family who is lucky enough to get him will be smitten within minutes

Please be aware that Paws and Recover is run by volunteers who also work. We endeavour to answer enquires as quickly as possible. Some animals will inevitably be very popular and will generate many enquires. Where there is a high volume of enquires received, it will be our priority to contact those that best fit the requirements of the animal. This may mean that it is not possible for all enquires to be answered. Please keep an eye on the website for all updates.
Providing quality information as a part of your enquiry including information about your home environment, family, work hours, other pets and what you are looking for in a companion animal along with what you can offer one will greatly assist.
