Meet Marlu! 🤩🤩

Marlu is an absolutely gorgeous 2 year old Groodle with a soft, fluffy ginger coat. He has the cutest face and is very playful and athletic. Marlu will need to go to a home with another friendly, playful dog.

Prior to coming to Humane Animal Rescue, Marlu wasn’t given much training and was left alone for long periods of time. As a result, he is working on being calm and happy and he’s also working on his separation anxiety.

Marlu is incredibly intelligent and a quick learner and is going to make a wonderful companion to the right person/family.
If you’re dedicated to ongoing training and if you are home a lot or work from home, that would be ideal!!

Marlu's best day looks like:
- Morning cuddles
- Eating food
- Doing puzzles to work his brain
- Going on a walk
- Playing with another pooch
- Doing training!

Marlu is such a clever young man, since coming into our care, he has learned how to sit, shake, lie down, and to wait for before eating his food. He is also learning crate training. We are so proud of how quickly he learns and how his behavior is improving!! 👏

Marlu is very excitable and he’s strong tall boy. He can be silly, playful and boisterous 🤪
He might be a bit too bouncy for young children, and we think a home without kids would be best.

When he first came into care he had some seperation anxiety and would bark when left alone. This is because of his past experience of being neglected. He is currently on medication and we are working with a behavioural vet to manage this. He truly has come leaps & bounds from when he was first in care.

Marlu has not been tested with cats but is good with other dogs, and will need to go to a home with another friendly, playful dog.

This boy has so much potential and we know he’s going to be an absolutely awesome pup. He has such a lovely temperament - he is beautiful inside and out.
