About Gannon
Meet Gannon,
Gannon is a sweet kitten who’s a little shy but also a little playful! He is the perfect choice for all kinds of families, but kids in the home should be older as they are more likely to understand his need for space & a calm, quiet home. Gannon may be a reserved but you get to see a different side of him when toys come out to play. He transforms into a motivated ball chaser, an acrobatic catcher & he especially loves our special feather toy (lets be honest he probably thinks it's a bird...)
Gannon is quite timid and he needs a family that is open minded, kind & supportive of his journey of self discovery. Gannon was very shut down when he came in to us refused to allow us to handle him. He has made progress but his journey will continue in his new home.
Just like all kittens, Gannon would love a cat tree to climb on and scratch, and an assortment of toys to play with. He should be fed kitten food multiple times a day to ensure that he grow up big and strong.
Gannon should be strictly indoors. Reason for this is due to his timid & love of toys that resemble birds. Going outside may undo all the progress that he has made since coming into our care. The outside world is big & can be scary for a small kitten & we need to not only protect him, but the wildlife as well.
Gannon is already litter trained, but it’s best to show him where the litter tray is when you get home to minimise any accidents.
If you’ve got other animals at home, that’s okay, just make sure that they have a slow & controlled introduction.
Can you open your heart and home to a sweet, playful kitty like Gannon?
Post Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as seamless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories - most are left in the shelter by their owners. The information we have is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks may surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
