About Ollie
Ollie is the ultimate big softie with intelligence and a heart of gold.
Ollie shines socially and in care has mixed very well with a variety of dogs. In particular he has taken on the big brother role of a younger more timid dog and has helped bring this dog out of his shell.
Ollie loves to please and is a smart cookie so will be a breeze to train. While in care he has learnt to be patient and not barge through doors and gates, waiting for the word 'ok' before dinner, and 'on your bed'. He already knows sit and drop and his enthusiasm to please sometimes has him do both in quick succession. Ollie came into care as a puller on the lead, this has improved but still requires work. In a head halti he is perfect to walk. Ollie is toilet trained and sleeps throughout the night. He will welcome you with full body wiggles and talking (not barking) in the morning.
Ollie loves a good run but he is equally happy pottering around the garden with his humans. For Ollie, hanging out with his people is the best! He is moderately active and will need a good daily walk as a minimum in his new home.
Ollie would love a bestie to do life with weather it be human, another social dog or even better - both! He hasn't been tested with children, but given his easy-going and loving nature, believe he would be fine with dog savvy kids, though he can be exuberant so kids 5+. He has been friendly towards his foster carer's cat but we would encourage slow introductions if he is to be rehomed with a cat.
